Timothy Vanny
Video editor. Filmmaker. Creative partner.
I started Try It With Tim on YouTube to share my passion for motorcycles and invite people to experience the adventures with me. What began in my garage, filming my motorcycle, sparked a love for filmmaking that eventually took me to the red carpet at a movie premiere.
That journey is why I’m passionate about helping people turn their dreams into reality. I know how much a personal passion can grow when you share it, and I bring that same care to the stories I create for brands, nonprofits, and individuals.
In a content landscape that can feel increasingly impersonal, I believe the human touch matters. My goal is to capture what makes your story yours—the people, purpose, and passion behind it—and create films that connect with others who care about the same things you do.
Since 2020, I’ve provided ongoing content support for Heal Los Angeles Foundation—from filming and producing to editing and creative direction. Over six years, I’ve helped tell the stories of its programs and community, contributing to the growth of its Instagram audience from roughly 1,000 to more than 60,000 followers.
For Vanny Orchards, Marline films her gardening journey while I provide editing and creative direction. Together, we’ve helped turn her backyard hobby into a platform for sharing her expertise—and supported her path to a consulting role designing a school garden, her dream job.
My filming and editing work includes Prince Jackson, Bike Shed Los Angeles and Roughchild Motorcycles, alongside my own Try It With Tim projects.
My expertise spans long-form documentary editing, broadcast and video journalism, audio and video podcasts, motion graphics and animated captions. I work in Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve and CapCut.
Let’s create something worth watching.
Available for remote editing, Los Angeles productions and ongoing monthly content support.
